BLUE GREY BLUE JAY 1988 24X10 (L/E 950)
$150

Anyone who has ever owned a bird feeder can relate to this scene. It is one of those subdued winter afternoons; you can sense the cold by the birds' fluffed-out feathers and the snow- covered branches. The blue jays have just eaten and now they are simply waiting to get hungry again. "I like this painting because of its design - the flow of its predominantly vertical lines - and because of its contrasting textures. I enjoy painting soft feathers against a cold, hard background."
